High altitude photography

Last December he opened a unique museum of its kind. It is the Lumen Museum, located at 2275 meters on the top of the Plan de Corones, in the heart of the Dolomites.

Designed by architect Gerhard Mahlknecht, the 1,800 mq exhibition space houses a photographic museum, a bookshop, a conference room and a panoramic restaurant.

LUMEN offers the opportunity to experience the history of mountain photography from the dawn to the present day and to show the art of mountain photographers from all over the world.

An evocative place, for an experience that involves the visitor inside the space with exhibitions of historical images and digital innovations, exciting temporary and special exhibitions and spectacular productions.

Finally with the restaurant AlpiNN combines culinary delicacies with a breathtaking view of the Dolomite peaks. Here the concept “Cook the Mountain” by Norbert Niederkofler, has found his home. On the summit of Plan de Corones mountain culture and tradition are combined with culinary and gastronomy.
